Megayacht Deckhand
Course
Overview
This course is designed to give you a
competitive edge in your quest to become a superyacht
crew. All crew must have the four basic STCW95 Safety Certificates but this
course prepares you for the work you will be doing and equips
you with internationally recognised yacht crew qualifications.
Superyacht Career Training
delivers this course over a total of five
days - three days in a well equipped & conveniently located
classroom environment plus two days on the water on board
our 7.2 metre Rigid Inflatable Boat Jeldi
Jeldi
and our 11.6 metre Sail Training
Vessel, Sofala
for practical application and assessment of what you have learnt in the
classroom and to gain practical crewing competencies.
What you will gain from
this course
Candidates who successfully complete this course will have
a head start in becoming an active yacht crew member
on a power or sailing superyacht and will be awarded
these internationally recognised Certificates which are endorsed by the United
Kingdom Maritime and Coastguard Authority (MCA):

complete this course successfully as well as completing the STCW95

to IYT's Florida USA Career Placement Service. Only people who have
graduated from IYT courses have access to this service. IYT have informed us
that historically they have placed 97% of IYT graduates on a superyacht within 4 weeks of
being listed on their database.
